This is being written after the 4th outing with this rifle. First of all the rifle shoots well. Very accurate at 10 meters with open sights using a 6 O’clock hold. At 20 meters it is still fairly accurate using the open sights with a 6 O’clock hold. The best accuracy is when the rifle is scoped, however not with the scope supplied. Definitely you’ll want to move on to a better scope.
However, this rifles accuracy is shadowed by the many other issues this rifle suffers. When I first unboxed the rifle one of the first things I noticed was that the left fiber optic tubes (the left one) had a flaw in it. You couldn’t see the tube from the back at certain angles. You can see the right tube at the same angles you couldn’t see the left one. And while sighting the left tube was noticeably dimmer than the right one. I contacted Hatsan about it and still have yet for them to actually do anything about it. Also I found that there is not always a positive click when adjusting for windage, at times it doesn’t click at all and sometimes doesn’t even move. This is what I was experiencing after my 3rd use. Many may not experience shooting open sights, but I enjoy the challenge. I will shortly put on the new scope I purchased. The one supplied doesn’t seem to hold zero for more than several shots.
Another issue with the rifle is the fit and finish of the butt pad. The screws are all the way in and the pad is barely touching the stock. It is solid and useable, but looks bad.
There is a mild recoil and vibration when shooting. It is not harsh, but after the 4th outing the action now sits loose in the stock and had to be retightened. The screw is located behind the trigger housing. I don’t know if this will happen to all who owns this rifle, but it happened to me.
Now I can honestly say I’ve enjoyed shooting this rifle but I was looking for better quality for what I paid. For all its flaws its not worth the purchase price, and especially so with the apparent lack of customer service you’ll receive if something goes wrong. You’ll definitely get the same quality for less from other manufacturers. Review by Jeffrey on 7/27/2022No Summary
Just got this gun and have many others but this is just like when you get your first gun again feeling.Right out of the box I only had to go 3 clicks left windage and hit a can at 60 ft 10 shots straight standing.Cocks easy and compared to most airguns this trigger is OUTSTANDING! No felt recoil either. I may buy another in .25 cal, monte carlo stock on both sides of stock which looks great also.Definately buy this gun,you wont regret it! Review by Greg on 7/8/2015
